About Dallas Feminists
The Dallas Feminists meetup is a local group dedicated to social justice, equality and human rights. We believe that women are people too and as such are heirs to the rights that all humans should possess. We seek to unbind the chains that constrain women and their communities, so that they are free to be full members of society and the world, with all the rights and responsibilities that entails. The oppressive systems we all live within (gender, race, class, colonialism), work in concert and feed into each other, in such a way, that all of our freedoms have become inextricably intertwined. What affects women, affects the world.
