.... and that is why you fail, you only see your sisters, when there are men, children and elderly to think about too.

Feminist = selfish

When we "see our sisters" it is not at the expense of everyone else. It is an acknowlegement of eachother...that we exist, that we are not invisible, that we matter...

For thousands of years we have been told in many different ways, over and over, that we are worthless property of men and have nothing to offer beyond sex and service to others. We have been silenced by threat of violence or death, told we are stupid & genetically inferior & bound to fail, while systematically separated from eachother by the patriarchial creation of marriage & nuclear family with Husband/Father as the single most important member.

Contrary to being selfish, women in general have been caring for the men, the children and the elderly since the beginning of our time on earth, most often at the expense of themselves. Our compassion for the vulnerable, our empathy for others in pain, our value for family draws us to care for others even when we ourselves are emotionally and physically depleted. It is no wonder so many women are suffering from depression, anxiety, addiction...and with little or no support from the sisterhood from which we have separated ourselves.

In my 40 years, I have NEVER known a single person who believes women are worthless or the property of men. You obvioulsy hang out with the wrong crowd and/or listen to the wrong people when it comes to womens issues.

As for selfish, you continue to ignore all the scientific data, surveys and other reports that show women to be just as UNCARING as the men you portray. Look around the news broadcasts and you will see women raping thier students, killing thier own children and almost equally at fault in domestic violence. How about the 2 female teachers in S.C. having a fist fight right in the hallway for all students to see. Proving females are just as aggressive as the men you portray.

In the workplace, you continue to cry foul, then demand more time off because you need 'flexability'. While the men do not get such freedoms. You cry about not getting the same pay as the other guy, but will not admit the fact that, you are not willing to put in the extra hours that guy is putting in. Yet you still think you deserve the same pay, it's completly rediculous!

During all this, you females continue to claim you are strong and independant, equal to men in all ways, yet when it comes to towing the line, you always fall back on being the 'victim'. Everytime you fail at something, you blame men mostly, or some other construct which only exists in your mind.

I'm looking forward to seeing the first women sign up for the draft, maybe it would be you, are you as strong as you claim. I wonder.....
