We believe every child is placed on this earth to accomplish something remarkable, something that only he or she can do. Our tribe was created with one single purpose: to help reduce all threats to girlhood that crush our girls' true nature and potential. We focus on upending gender stereotypes that only make girls obsess about body image, prevent them from taking leadership roles, limit their interests in sciences and math, and cause them to feel self-conscious when playing sports.

Discordia Zine was born out of a desire to disrupt the discourse and expectations around what it means to be a woman. We want to smash the dialogue that keeps us down and divided into small pieces and scatter it to the four winds. We’re 15 women who are sharing our stories in the hope of bringing about change in the way women are viewed, how we feel about ourselves and to inspire debate that challenges the system.
